Best Practices for Henkel Loctite SF A-534R
-
Application
Apply LOCTITE® SF A-534R™ by spraying, wiping, or brushing a thin film of the activator onto one of the bonding surfaces.
Apply the Adhesive to the bond area on the non-activated bonding surface.
Join surfaces with sufficient pressure to maintain intimate contact between the parts until handling strength is obtained.
A 15 to 30 second clamp time is usually required for bonding of parts with minimal gap.
-
Mixing
Bondmaster 534R and 533 Adhesive should not be mixed in large quantities, as a vigorous chemical reaction will occur generating a significant amount of heat and vapors.
-
Clean-Up
Unreacted initiator can be cleaned up using acetone, isopropanol, or MEK.
