    1. Application

      Always apply over automotive primer whenever possible. Applying product to bare metal will not provide additional corrosion protection Acid etching primer is not recommended, if used, be sure to allow to fully cure before applying seam sealer, as residual acid can weaken the bond.

      If necessary, clean and dry surface with 3M™ General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, PN 08984. Do not use an adhesive cleaner until the primer has fully cured.

      Press bead of 3M™ Strip Caulk into area to be sealed smooth with finger or putty knife. For large openings, press several beads together.
