  • Best Practices for Bostik 2200 TS

    *See Terms of Use Below

    1. Surface Preparation

Substrates should be free of all loose contamination, greases, oils, etc. Use Isopropyl alcohol or other approved solvent for substrate pretreatment.

Temperatures of substrate must be above 40°F. Recommended substrate and product application temperatures are between 55°F and 100°F.

    2. Application

Application—Cartridge: Cut nozzle to desired bead size opening and puncture the inner foil seal. Place cartridge into either a manual or pneumatic caulking dispenser. Apply appropriate pressure to install 2200 TS so as to assure full contact (surface wetting) to promote sealing and adhesion performance. Tool and finish applied 2200 TS immediately to promote best mechanical adhesion and cure appearance. Use water or soapy water solution for tooling compound.

Application—Sausage: Cut tip to desired shape and diameter. Place sausage into a manual or pneumatic caulking dispenser.

    3. Clean-Up

Uncured 2200 TS can be easily removed from hands, tools and substrates using Bostik® Hand & Tool Towels.
