  • Best Practices for Elantas (Altana) Conathane DPEN-22400

    *See Terms of Use Below

    1. Application

At room temperature, a good pouring viscosity (3000 cps) of a 2 lbs. mass, is maintained for 10 to 20 minutes. Metal molds should be coated with a mold release agent such as CONAP® MR-5002.

    2. Mixing

Combine CONATHANE® DPEN-22400 Part A and DPEN-22400 Part B in the ratio specified. The two components should be mixed thoroughly in metal or glass containers using metal or glass stirrers.

    3. Deairing/Degassing

Degassing of the mixed system should be accomplished at room temperature at >27 in. Hg vacuum. Containers should be large enough to allow for frothing during the degassing process.

    4. Curing

      Cure 5 – 7 days at 25°C / 77°F.

The cure schedules are based on time after the unit reaches the specified temperature and are recommendations only. The user is responsible for determining the optimum cure conditions for his application.
