Shelf Life Details CONATHANE® EN-2541 and EN-2543 have a shelf life of 18 months from date of manufacture, when stored at 65° to 85°F in the original unopened containers. If containers are opened and the contents only partially used, the containers should be thoroughly flushed with dry nitrogen (CONAP® Dri-Purge) immediately prior to resealing to prevent waste of material.;The fillers used in the Part B components of these systems may settle during shipment or subsequent storage. This should be checked carefully prior to mixing with Part A. Generally this is a soft settle and can easily be brought back into suspension by gentle mixing or by rolling on a roller.;Mix the two components together thoroughly in metal, plastic, or glass containers using metal or glass stirrers. Avoid paper containers and wooden sticks. Any moisture or water introduced into the system will cause bubbling and/or foaming during curing. To ensure void-free castings, the mixed system should be degassed under vacuum at 29”-30” Hg for 2-5 minutes. Mixing containers should be large enough to allow for frothing while under vacuum. When containers are opened and the contents only partially used, they should be flushed with dry nitrogen to prevent moisture contamination and subsequent waste of material.
