  • Best Practices for Elantas (Altana) EA-073A

    *See Terms of Use Below

    1. Surface Preparation

Apply to clean, dry, oil-free surface. If bonding to metal, rough abrade the surface with sandpaper and wipe with a solvent such as acetone.

    2. Application

Apply by spatula or stiff brush, using light pressure to insure that the surface is properly “wet” by the adhesive.

Where possible, apply to each mating surface.

      Contact pressure only is required.

    3. Mixing

Mix (by volume) one equal portion of AD-1040B base compound with one equal portion of EA-073 hardener. The base is colored black, and the hardener colored cream. Mix until the color is a uniform gray color.

Use dixie cups, spoons, or equal spatula loads for measuring. Proportions should be nearly (visually) equal as possible.

Use a separate utensil for removing material from each container. Immediately replace the lids on proper containers after use.

Immediately clean mixing tools that are reclaimable after use.
