Shelf Life Details When stored between 0°C (32°F) and 32°C (89.6°F) in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 18 months from the date of production. DOW CORNING 531 Fluid is flammable and a reactive polymer. Moisture from the air or from wet solvents will cause viscosity rise of the polymer and, in time, gelation. We recommend that once opened, it should be used and formulated at once. If this is not possible, then it should be tightly sealed and used within thirty days.
